polar visitors had a great time at this 2016 where temps were -9 degrees, but the 2017 event had higher temps making it feel like spring. By popular demand, we continue this event for our
winter-loving reenactors and friends to see what 2018 will bring! Enjoy a winter weekend get-away in a beautiful setting! Set up your camp outside... or bring your bedding and sleep inside the Catfish Inn, Longhouse or Trapper's Cabin. (Please call or email in advance, inside space is limited). Set up anytime Friday. Historical building tours available on request. What

The
Center is located at 16486 Wapakoneta Road, between the historic Victorian
village of Grand Rapids in northwest Ohio, and north of Rt. 6. The Center is an
ideal outdoor living history site with its 40 acres of Black Swamp woods,
two-acre pond and open meadows. The Center boasts the only site to have a
recreated 50’ Woodland Indian longhouse and 20’ wigwam, a Scottish Tavern,
Trappers Lodge, Blacksmith Shop, 214 year-old Pioneer Log house, Trading Post
and Marlow Education Hall in northwest Ohio. The Center’s facilities are open
for school tours, scout events and festivals on an arranged basis.
